Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight...
Gonna grab some afternoon delight...
WHY my husband decided to torment me with this song is beyond me. OK, I actually love that song. Especially when Will Ferrell and the guys sing it in Anchorman. SO. FUNNY.*
WOO WEE! Looka dis! How fancy it is around here! My thanks to Carrie, my elegant and fantastic friend and webmaster, for her mad web skillz. Contact her if you have web needs. She'll hook you up, for a good price!
So, if you see any broken bits on this site, or if things don't look right, or you see parts of the old web page, let me know, please, so we can fix it!!!
YAY webfuntimes!
UPDATE: While we're thanking Carrie, go over and tell her Happy Birthday!!! Happy Birthday Schmoo!
I don't have new knitting to show, but I did buy three new books today:

I am so bored lately, with everything I'm reading, with movies, with knittting. So. Bored. So I hope one of these books will be interesting. I tried really hard to read this book, I really did, since all my homies love it, but I just can't get into it. I can't buy time travel when it's not in a scifi book. I just can't. Oh, well.
*(If you go to this link, and click the top video, you can hear them sing it. I love lamp.)

Looks awesome around here. Of the books you got there, I've only read "A Curious Incident..." but I loved it. Hope you do too.

I loved 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime' so much that I accidentally bought it twice after I read it from the library!
A 'not exactly sci-fi' book with time travel that I liked was 'The Time Travelers Wife' by Audrey Niffenegger.

I feel electrified! Can I wire my car to your blog?

Woot on the new site design!
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time was so good! It's a fast read, and really interesting. Hope you enjoy it!

I love the new look! Props to Carrie -- it's really great.
Hope something is un-boring soon. I know that feeling - I think I'm just rising out of it right now with new books and knitting projects. :-)

How do you feel about John Irving? I'm reading "Until I Find You" right now and I can't put it down.

I just got into the Outlander books after my mom read them. I'm in the middle of the 1st one...but it's my second attempt at trying to read it. THe first time I just couldn't get into it. We'll see about this time...

Gosh, it looks great around here! Great job Carrie! I really enjoyed "The Time Travelers Wife" and "The Kite Runner" is excellent. Enjoy your books!

LOUD NOISES!
I love Anchorman.
The re-design looks fab. Go Carrie!
I'm glad to hear you couldn't get into that book either, I thought it was just me. I like "The Geographers Library" though.

OH NO!! Now I have that song in my head!! Skyrockets in flight!
Anyway I loved loved Kite Runner. It was really sad but good.

Love the new look! Very high energy indeed.
How can you not like Outlander? I love that series! Could you maybe pretend that the stone circle is an ancient time travel device? Would that make it sci-fi enough? Did you read past the first 100 pages? If I remember right it does start a bit slowly.

I can't read it very well either - maybe something's wrong?
Curious Incident was great. Kite Runner was a good story but I thought that the writing was pretty forced.... but I learned a lot about Afghanistan that I never knew before...

Ooh ooh, it look MUCH different when I use safari instead of firefox... browser problem?

Snazzy! Electrifying! Sky rockets in flight! You're right, the Anchorman rendition is best--thanks for the link! I haven't read a novel-length work in a while--usually just have time for short stories--but will think on it and pass on any good ideas.

Oh, did you see that episode of "Arrested Development" when Michael and Maybe sang that song together, gradually realizing how gross it was for an uncle and niece to do that as a duet? It was HYSTERICAL! Also, I agree on the Curious Incident. I loved the Kite Runner, but it really puts you through the emotional wringer.
