I try to discover a little something to make me sweeter...
Oh baby refrain from breaking my heart...
If I go away for over two months, the least I can do is start with Erasure.
I MISS YOU GUYS!
And look at THIS:
and this:
and this:
I mean, have you ever? My best girlfriends MADE IT. The top has the moon and his name on it. How cute are those animals? I LOVE IT. The Bug will love it. Thank you, thank you Alison, Courtney, MJ, Jenny, Steph, Petey, and Schmoo McGee. I love you peeps. You all are the best!
AND!
Courtney also gave the HEB this adorable book and this adorable soft bunny to go with it! Awwww!
Or so you think:
Little Bunny, you are tasty.
All baby all the time.
So, in the two+ month absence, the Bug has grown and grown. Lord, I'm in love with my kid. It's kind of embarrassing. I miss him every minute when I'm gone. He's so much fun. He laughs and laughs. He smells good (most of the time). I just truly enJOY him. It's so WEIRD. I never thought I could love anyone with the intensity I love High Energy Johnny, but there it is.
For you new mommies, those first few months are really hard. And if you have a colicky refluxy preemie, they might be even harder and are certainly longer. But I can tell you with total conviction, it's all worth it. It's the best thing ever. I am so lucky to have my little family.
Enough schmaltz! More baby pictures! You know you want them!

Hey!

Working... on... our... thumbs...

Shhhh. I'm a Sheep.

I might be asleep. You don't know, cause I'm so cool.

Mason Dixon Bib!!
Alrighty then. You have indulged my mommyness once again. I have been knitting a bit here and there, some sewing, and some Ravelry. I miss all the crafty goodness, but I know it won't be forever.
We are taking the bug to California next week, so I'll be gone again, but shorter this time. I have some little things to show for next time. See you then!
Comments
Can't wait can't wait for the CA visit! Did you know ISC is closing? Sale dahlink, sale. It is bad for my yarn problem.
See you soon!

We us non-first time moms still get that squishy feeling. My oldest is six and she still makes me melt at times. Although their are other times when I could pull her head off :)

cuuuuuuuuuuute. I can sympathize with how hard it is in the beginning. 6 months was a turning point for me. And then around 9 months it was even better and then a year was even better and now at 18 months it's SO MUCH BETTER THAN EVER... except for the temper tantrums beginning, but the rest makes up for it. take care.

Oh, so cute! Has the reflux resolved or do you still need to medicate? My son resolved at 6-7 months, but my daughter took a full year.
And what kind of MT is that? Pretty colours!

Your little bubba is SOOO cute! What a funny chubby little face. He's a good size for a former premie, don't you think? Hope you enjoy your trip, keep the baby pics coming!!!

hi there, so glad you are back...i was getting a bit worried at the prolonged silence. the bug is unbelievable, so cute and delicious. i understand totally the intensity of love you speak of, right now one of my twin boys is attacking his paci...he just fit into his first onesie without looking completely ridiculous (preemie too) and mama feels wonderful. ah, mama-hood.

Your gorgeous baby is growing up so fast isnt he. It always seems to go by so quickly, but I can say the 2nd one seems to grow even faster. Love the toy box that your friends made for him too, so cute.

Sorry I'm late commenting. but I was right on top of it when you published this. I was eager to see how the little guy had grown and we were not disappointed! He's so so precious. I know you are happier than you could have imagined. I'm glad the dark first days are behind you (and me). Take care.
