Did you take your meds today?
Hmm, why do you ask???
Hello, there, all! I'm back. Please don't go away just 'cause I did. Come back, come back!
There is SO much I want to post about. Every day I think of things I want to post about and write them in my head, then I forget them and despair, then I go to post and I'm overwhelmed by all the now forgotten things! And THEN, I have an awesome two days receiving goodies, buying new bedding, getting done 270 things I've been putting off:
1) OB/GYN appt. Ugh.
2) Oil Change. Kind of like #1.
3) Paying bills. Somehow I paid the Electric Bill with my credit card. This is not standard procedure. I'm unclear how it happened. Is my money managing itself?
4) Actually registering for the 1/2 Marathon I'm going to do - oops! Almost screwed up, AM!
5) Balancing the checkbook. Oops, didn't quite get that one done.
6) Returning yarn, to buy more yarn.
7) Did I mention shopping?!
I'm so overwhelmed! Aaaagh! I'm MANIC, I'm over-the-top!, I need to be reigned in!!!
Ummm, right. Note to self: when you become uncontrollably slap-happy, either:
1) you forgot your meds, or
2) you got THIS in the mail:*
Wow!!!!! Woo-hoo! Phildar was having a sale, and a fabulous friend went shoppin' for me.

You wanna close-up? Sure you do.
What will I make? THIS, and THIS. I plan to change the turtleneck and maybe make short sleeves, and the other red-variegated I will knit in the green Frénésie. Super WOOT!!!
A Heartfelt Thanks
Thank you, truly, to everyone who commented and emailed me with good wishes. All things considered, last week was of course stressful, but I think ended in the best way possible. Time will heal the rest.
And thanks so my Secret Pal, who so thoughtfully sent me a lovely card, with seeds enclosed to scatter. Here it is pictured with...

The BOOKBOOKBOOK!
Yarn Harlot's book is truly good. If you are a knitter, or if you know a knitter, if will make you giggle, then shake, then howl out loud with tears running down. Well, at least that's what it did for me.
HEJ, brevity is not your strong point.
Yes, well, this was to be a brief post, but here I am all talky at you again. But...
I am so so very tired, that I cannot post more. I have much much more to show, but I must sleep. If of course, I can't sleep, you know I'll be back. The chances of this are fair-to-middlin'.**
*Today, it was both. I mean, when the hubbie asks if you've taken the meds, you've obviously forgotten them.
**What DOES this mean? The hubbie and are constantly laughing at phrases we or family say that we have no idea what they are. Like, who is "Sam Hill?" And why do we care what he is doing? Or how about "a rat's ass?" I mean, really, rodent bottoms? This makes sense to us?
Comments
Us? Go away? Nev-ah!
I'm so glad that the yarn decided to spring back to its puffy-skeined self. Did you pat it and tell it to forgive me for squishing it in the box? And aren't those boxes fab? I almost forgive La Poste for raising its shipping rates.
I can't wait to see you knit up that yarn. Oui oui! You may drink a kir royal at the same time if you wish :-)
xo,
Becky

We would never leave you!
Welcome back. You're right time with help with the healing ...but in the meantime Phildar certainly helps to put a temporary smile on.

Welcome back, Jenny! I LOVE that pattern-- the red sweater-- gorgeous. Beautiful yarn, too!!

Yay!

Glad things went as well as they could...
Phildar has the best patterns- I love both those patterns! Did Becky send you the patterns also? or do you order the mags separately? (just curious cause my local shops don't carry the Phildar magazines...)
The Harlot's book is on its way to me! Can't wait!

Welcome back, oh ye of the fabulous socks! We just got Stephanie's book today at Knit Cafe, and I spent the day reading various pages out loud to customers, who were doubled over in laughter. GREAT BOOK!

Yay! Phildar sweaters! It looks like at least one of them is from the book I sent you. I'm glad you could use it. Those friends from across the pond are swell, aren't they? I should get some.
I thought, hey, I should sign up for the same 1/2 marathon, and then I realized it is at the end of April! Hah! I'm laughing at myself trying to run over 13 miles at the end of April when I can barely walk right now (too many hours in the car=atrophy).
Must. get. back. in. shape.
Best of luck, though!! I'm sure you'll do well.

You do realize that your to-do list for the week is about as long as my to-do list for the year, right? Glad you're back. And I love ya even when you forget your meds!
I am SO knitting that sweater! I love it so much :)

Holy freaking yarn! That's a ton of yarn and those projects look like fun. I need to get off my knitting ass and knit so I can buy more yarn and knit some more.
I'm zigging and zagging all over the place as well, but i'm blaming daylight savings time! Whoo hoo!
