Bitch, bitch, bitch.

I could complain...

Yes, I could tell you how my lovely trip home (in which I had a GREAT time, thanks Mom and Dad!) was marred by:

a) a mechanical plane issue resulting in significant delay in getting home.

b) the discovery that I spent quality time sewing in the sleeve into my Honeysuckle sweater, only for it to look like SH*T. And be too small. More on this later, if I can stand to touch the orange monster again.

c) a torrential downpour which led to our basement flooding. AGAIN. And since I quilt in the basement, and since my two crappy felines knocked some books onto the floor, I have spent tonight doing this:

Thank heaven for my ipod.*

This book is the Vogue Knitting of quilting books for me. Trust me, if it was your favorite knitting book, you'd be spending quality hair dryer time too.

I said, I COULD complain...

But instead, I'll show you this:

Anyone who knows me will recognize me in this picture.

1) The hair. I mean, really.
2) The outfit. You can't tell in b&w, but that is a nightgown with Raggedy Ann on it, in BLUE and PURPLE. It was vintage then, let me tell you.**
3) The purposeful gait. This is how I walk now - fast, going somewhere, looking only in the direction planned. I was a child with a goal. And that goal was - CHRISTMAS GIFTS.
4) Note the doll's hair also. I mean, really.

*And James Ingram singing, "Yah Mo B There."
**My mommy made the nightgown. ;-)

I almost had a heart attack because I thought you were blowdrying the iPod! It's a good thing that it is still ok and helped you through the trauma. I empathize with the small sweater problem, but I'm sure that being MOYKU you will get it all figured out soon. Hang in there!

Hey now, I walk the exact same way. Just means we're uhhhh, focused. Yeah.

Good grief...I hope you didn't walk around like that with knitting needles in hand. It'd be like running with scissors or something.
And the nightie is so stylish!

That picture of you is soooo cute!! you look so *determined*!!!! And the nightgown is CLASSIC!

I always tell people when I walk down the hall at school I'm on a mission from Gad. You have to say it just like that: "Gad."

I thought when I first saw the picture that you WERE a doll. You look almost unreal in your ethereal expression and floating hair.

LOVE the nightgown.

Ugh, nothing kills your enthusiasm for new clothes like knocking yourself out putting it together and finding out, hey look! It doesn't fit! Back into the stash with you, Honeysuckle!

Nothing is worse than a wet basement...in an apartment my husband and I used to rent, it was dirt, and it flooded constantly, even with the sump pump running. Of course, the furnace was down there, and the water heater. So much fun! I'm wishing your books a speedy recovery!

Yes, the nightgown is a classic....made by her Mom in 1975 or 1976.

You were the cutest little girl ever! I also thought you were blowdrying your Ipod. That would be soooo sad.

Sorry for all the troubles! Glad your trip was fun!

How cute is my mom for commenting! Way to go Mom!

Yay High Energy Mom! Woo-hoo!

That picture is SO you. You look freakin' adorable! And stylish in your nightgown, of course.

Awww.... that mean awful terrible no good rain!! Grrr... Hope the hairdryer did the trick.

I love that pic of little Jenny- don't get in that girl's way! haha

You are a little girl on a mission in that picture! Cute nightgown.

Sorry about the rain! We've had a lot of problems with that in our area as well.

hej, I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who walks FAST. I can't walk slow. I passed it along to my Pixie as well...and for a 6 year old...she does well in keeping up.

Love the mini ipod. wish there was a way to swap our fave playlists! :)

adorable pic! :) I can see the high energy in ya even back then!

Jenny...you look like a doll in that photo! Adorable.

Ipod's RULE! Can't live without it!

Sorry about all the bad things that happened. :-(

Great, great picture! So cute. I also thought the iPod ended up in the flood, which would be a tragedy... sorry about your sleeve caps! Wanh...
