Man, this hold music sucks!
Your call is important to us.
So I will be on a small hiatus here at HEK as I have no camera, as the man took it away to CA. And without pictures I am nothing.
In the meantime, here's a fun game to play for you music lovers:
The geeky husband and I (both of us nerds) had our laptops on the sofa sitting together and it occurred to us we could play music off our computers (with itunes or similar program) to each other to see how fast we could guess the song. Like nerdy Name that Tune.
The rules were:
- It had to be a song the other should know.
- It had to be a song that could be recognized from the very beginning.
- Everyone plays by the honor system.
So we'd start the song and stop it within a second, and if the other didn't guess, we'd play a bit more etc. The scoring was lax but I did win. ;-)
The best was that I recognized "Santaria" by Sublime in one note and in about 1/2 a second. Impressive, no?
OK, not really. But it was fun! We were laughing the whole time. You should try it. Could be done with one computer as long as the other person isn't looking. Honor system! No cheating!
Enough of that. Should be back in a week-ish.

Until then, feel free to go play in a bag.
Oh, and P.S.

i love that game! we used to play that in college when we had open access to millions of mp3s on the college server (those were good times before all that Napster crap)... i totally rocked the 80s pop music scene!

I used to like that game, until I started playing with my husband (my dad used to quiz us all the time.) He's a crazy music geek and can get everything on half a note. NOT FUN. Have a great break!

That is a great game, Jason and I are like that, we always play games when we are bored or driving. He would kick my ass at the music one though, I suck at remembering things.

I love that game too! Except Cathy and I used to play that and we would hum songs to each other. We were kinda dorky.
That picture is cute cute cute.

Sounds like a fun game. I used to love watching Name that Tune, even though I'd never heard any of the songs. I'm not that good at it though :(

The kitties just love the bags! I think it is so funny... people pay so much money for cat toys, etc. and all you have to do is give them the bag it came in and they are happy... haha

Getting desperate aren't you? Just kidding. That sounds like a blast! At least you two know how to have a great time! ;-)

eli and i have a similar game that i like to call ipod karaoke. it works like this- one person choses a song on their ipod and sings along with it until the other person guesses what it is. unless you happen to have an awesome voice, its pretty difficult and hilarious. you know you totally want to try it!
p.s. sorry i missed knitting last night. i'm very sad about it. :(

Want big time geeky? When we were kids, my sister and I would stick really low batteries in our cassette player, sing Blondie's "The Tide is High" into it, put in NEW batteries, and then playback. Voila! Instant Chipmunks singing Blondie.
Yes, we were weird kids :-)
