Pocky!
We interrupt the telling of the MDS&W story to bring you the following announcement:
MollymollymollymollymollymollysentmePocky!
That's the title to a little ditty I'm writing to thank the utterly fabulous Molly! for sending this incredible package of treats all the way from Japan!!!!!

Thanks SO much Molly! And yes, I did forget all about it!!
Now the Japanese are in contention for my favorite treat makers in the world - they are neck and neck with the Australians who make Tim Tams and Violet Crumbles. Mmmmmm.
AND!
And she also sent the absolute best Pompom maker in the entire world:

Why is it the best? Because if you click here you can see the circles open up so it is fast and easy to wrap the yarn, and easy to finish. Thanks again Molly!
ANOTHER knit you haven't told us about?
I got some Rowan Summer Tweed a little while ago and have been flying along on Ginger.
Now, I'll tell you, that Summer Tweed is a really stiff sticky yarn. That's not a great description, but it's not at all smooth and takes effort for me to knit. The ONLY reason I'm flying along now is due to Norma, who is a genius and suggested using Denises in one of her entries. And badda bing, it worked.
Here's a cool macro shot (truly, Lori's pic is much cooler - go looky.)

I think I will wear this a lot. Then it's on to finishing my Victoria tank I'm making for my sister. I will knit through my stash, I will I will I will...

I have no idea what Pocky is, but by the response, methinks it is delicious and wonderful. And also, Pocky is a funny word. Hee.

Does that song go "pocky! pocky! batman!"? Cause that's what I was singing in my head with the "mollymollymollymolly..." part. And hooray for Molly - she was one of my Secret Pals, and she's is fabulous!
And what a pretty Ginger... it will look great on you!

Pocky sticks are soo good. A friend of mine in high school used to get boxes and boxes and then sell them to people. Luckily she was a friend. Those Japanese make some cool stuff! And they sell almost everything in pink! I love the tank, what pretty colors :)

Never heard of pocky until now, but 'pocky" has to be one of the coolest words ever.

Dude. Love the Pocky. If you can believe this, I can buy it at my corner store! New York is a crazy place. :-)
Enjoy with a nice cuppa joe.

Pocky is the bomb. When I discovered that our grocery store was selling it I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Now if I could just get them to carry Milkys...

Another Pocky lover!! I love Choco Pocky. Does the one say "Men's"? What exactly is men's pocky?? LOL!!!
Posted by: cheryl | May 21, 2005 07:12 PM
I've tried that "Pocky for Men", because I was so enthralled with the idea that men would need their own Pocky. Is regular Pocky just too girly? I must admit that man-style Pocky was sophisticated in a take-charge kind of way - I wouldn't mind going on a date with Pocky for Men. Oops, I forgot, I'm already married. Well, that's the power of manpocky.
