supergoodtimes.com! Part 2.
CONTROVERSY!
Well, my goodness. Thanks for all the comments! You guys are so cool. Thanks for the nice words, and discussion, and also for earlier comments on the Honeymoon Cami. I love you guys!
That's it. From now on, only controversial topics. I'll be the Jerry Springer of Knitbloggers. Here are some upcoming ideas:
- I am glad the Euro is worth more than the US Dollar. Go Europe!
- Latkes=applesauce. Sour cream is RIGHT OUT.
- I actually like crochet.
- DIET. PEPSI. IS. SUPERIOR.
Um. Maybe stick to knitting, kid.
Alright. So much has been said about the Maryland Knit 'n Spin good times that it's hard to say more. I, of course, have a few pics though I'd like to share. Of course, all of these were taken by others, as my hubby took the camera for the weekend.
Celebrity Sightings
1) I met Wendy. How cool is that? Here's the story.
We were waiting in line for the Harlot, and someone spotted Wendy. I really wanted to say hello, but I was nervous (yes, me. It does happen). So all the gals were like, "Just go over there!" I finally did, with Carrie and AM and Heather, Donna, etc. watching. I walked up to where she was, and skulked about waiting to break in. I then thought, maybe it's not her! So I scooted about to confirm. At this point, I was past ridiculous. And the other bloggers were totally laughing!
Anyway, I said hello, and she gave me a BIG Ol' HUG!

Thanks to Heather for the pic.
It was cool. She is super nice and friendly in person, and came over to meet the folks we were hanging out with. Thanks, Wendy, for being so cool!!!
2) Harlot.
Then, in line I got to meet Stephanie. How exciting! We were all so goofy and gaga. When I got up to have her sign my book, I was all tongue-tied! I sort of mumbled something about being "high energy Jenny" and she said, "Well, you are kindy perky!" Oh my Lord. She is too funny, as you all know.

She was so cool in person, and so friendly. Thanks so much, Steph, for taking the time to do all these book signings and meet people!
3) I got to briefly meet Nathania, Rachael, Lolly, and Jody. Jody was the first celebrity I saw, and I accosted her too, in the Tess booth. Poor Jody! Everyone was so nice and friendly, it was great! Nathania gave me good advice about the yarn I bought at the Brooks booth.
I was camera-less so no pics unfortunately.
4) One other celebrity sighting I was camera-less for was Eugene and Ann Bourgeois, of Philosophers Wool! I love their books and video, so getting to meet them was great fun. They were very sweet. Eugene talked to me about his history in math and philosophy and how much they love what they do now.
5) Lastly, I met Carrie and Anne Marie!

Oh, yeah. I already knew them. ;-)
Pic stolen from Vibegrrl - thanks Lara!
That picture sums up the three of us all weekend. There was much delirious laughter. You guys are supahstars!
Next time, more stories of THAT FATED WEEKEND! More great celebrities! Lots of breakfasts! But, must go to work now. Trudge, trudge.

Hi Jenny! Too bad we did not have more time to chat--if not for extinuating circumstances, I would've been at the breakfast (it looked like so much fun!) but you did get to see my girls and hang out with them, and H told me about the fun time that I missed. Next year, we will have more time :)
Love the pics!

You three were the highlights of my S&W...best thing was I came away with knowing my imaginary internet friends better!
I must disagree...Diet Dr.Pepper. oh man. yum.

I think I've posted this in comments 500 times, but "It looks like you guys had so much fun!" It does. I've put my jealousy at bay of all of you meeting each other. :) Next year, I will be there, fo real yo.

I've never had sour cream on latkes, but I hafta say sour cream beats applesauce anytime.

That was a great post. I thought you couldn't top the controversial one, but guess what? You did.
As a teacher of writing, I feel compelled to grade everything. In the genre of blog entries, you certainly would receive an "A." Step to the head of the class, Miss Jenny.

Diet Pepsi, are you kidding me??? Diet Coke or bust! Looks like you girls had a blast. So jealous--I haven't giggled like that since exams started.
Meant to comment earlier about your honeymoon cami. It's so fabulous on you! You should wear it ALL THE TIME! Although I haven't seen the new wardrobe yet, so maybe you can rotate in some of the new goodies from time to time... :)
