May I have your attention, please.

[clinks glass with fork]

I am inordinately behind on reading blogs. So far behind I may never catch up. For this, dear readers, I truly apologize. Please none of you take it personally at all if I haven't commented on your blog, or if I have not responded to a comment you left here. I love you all, and have good some excuses:

1) Our basement flooded again and we are trying to deal with many other nasty fix-it home issues that are driving us nuts.

2) I have been having to study for continuing education testing.

3) And, er, um, I may have become addicted to this TV show, on DVD of course. I am 3/4 through Season 2. Miss Jenny loves watchin' her stories.

4) And, er, um, hmmm, I might be knitting too many things at once. Might be. So the progress is few and far between.

Well, at least give us somethin'

I finished the crocheted star blanket for my friend Teresa, who may have had her baby this week! I'll know when I go back to work Saturday.

And, click here for the stitch close-up.

UPDATE: Here is the link for this pattern, "Beth's Little Star Afghan."

Moving On.

I may have started something new - a headwrap. This pattern is from the IK website. I think it might be subscriber-only. ;-(

The Yarn? Patons Grace.

So, this pattern and another one I am working on involve the dastardly K3tog. When knitting two together is so simple, why is knitting three stitches together so damn hard? Especially in skinny cotton yarn on US2 needles, I might add.

I am a glutton for punishment.

When life hands you lemons...

Best thing to do is play with your new squeaky spider.

Good. Times.

Or, go to Karaoke with Carrieoke, get drunk, and belt out "One Way or Another" by Blondie, complete with boogie-ing in front of tons of people. Oh. My. Lord.

Yipee!! I was just logging into bloglines thinking about how there haven't been many high energy, latenight posts recently, and how hot and bored I am at work right now. Perfect timing!

Sorry to hear that things have been crazy busy. But your baby blanket and the headscarf (I'm ALL about those) look great. I want to see the finished headscarf--although it's too bad it's members only!

Star blanket? How...where...is there a pattern? I don't crochet, but I'll sure learn! Can't wait to see the headwrap...I knitted a cheesy little garter stitch headband and i love it!

The blanket looks great!

I watched the first season of Queer as Folk and then got drama-ed out. Is there such a thing as too much? Or maybe it was that The Sopranos came back on or something.

Sorry about the house - that has to suck. Hope it gets resolved soon.

Such a cutie dog! I adore german shepherds. Egads--I hope the home fixings go quickly and smoothly! Very pretty baby blanket, by the way. =) Have a great weekend!

Love the star blanket, Jenny! The colors are so pretty. That gift will be cherished, I am sure :)

Wow, sorry about the house flooding again--that is bad news. Hope things look up from here. Take care, girl!

Love the star blanket - so cute! Dontcha' hate it when life gets in the way of the blog! :)

The star blanket looks great. Sorry about the basement, I feel your pain :-(

The blanket looks SUPER FANTASTIC! I am so impressed with your crochet abilities. I will be able to do it one day.

Sadie's gonna make it...Sadie's gonna make it.....(jazz hands)

um, karaoke was way too much fun. did I mention that you are a bad influence? (JUST KIDDING.)

Great blanket.

Nice headwrap.

I can't think of a better evening spent!
Belting out Blondie with a Buzz on.
Beautiful.

x/o enjoy the 4th you crazy HEJ!

Nice crochet blanket! Its super cute for a baby.

The star blanket is very cute. That looks like my next crochet project (as soon as I find the pattern ;})

I LOVE the blanket! Have fun with those k3tog in cotton :)

That star blanket is awesome. Love it. And I am addicted to QAF too - but only got one disk through Netflix so far...

You made me laugh aloud picturing you guys being Blondie! Coolness.

Hey kids! I added the link for the Star baby afghan in the entry. See under the picture...

Thanks for all the nice comments!

Go, Blondie, Go! :-)

Such a multi-talented gal! Schmoo pics awwww :) The star blanket looks awesome. Makes me want to learn to crochet. Now where are the pics of you and Carrie at karaoke?

Come on...no photo of the boogie-ing? I'm telling you that I would PAY to see that.

"One way or another, I'm gonna get ya..."

That star blanket is among the coolest crocheted things I've seen EVER.

Wow the star blanket is gorgeous! I love the colors! Your friend is going to love it...and so is her little baby.
As for your basement, hmmm, perhaps you should just fill it in...or make an indoor pool!

What a fabulous crochet blanket. The colors are fab!

I LOVE that show...Queer as Folk...you are the only other person I know of that watches it besides me!!! :-)

And I thought you didn't like me any more...:-(...only KIDDING!! ;-)

I feel your pain. So many blogs...so little time. I can't feel your other pain though. I've given up karaoke after a nasty little incident I can't quite remember, though I am assured that my Janice Joplin impression is memorable.

[Knock, knock.]

Hey! Can Jenny come out to play?
