It's Over!!!!

[Jazzy snazzy 70's game show music]

Well hello again, and welcome to another exciting round of HEK!

Thanks to EVERYONE who played in this silly contest! I really appreciate it. You guys are so much fun, and I thank ALL of you for your nice comments. I am sorry I haven't been able to get back to each person individually.

Make with the answer.

So many of you guessed correctly. I did in fact attend University of Oklahoma! [Ding ding ding!] Me and the hubby, a LONG time ago. Really long. And look at us now!

Uh, What-EVER. So! The hubby is such a cool über-geek that he made a random number generator in Excel and that's how we picked the winners. Everyone got to play, and I wish I could give a door prize to everyone. Maybe next time.

WINNER NO. 1! She ain't Scarlett.

Sarah wins the Grand Prize of a copy of Knitting on the Edge! Sarah, you can thank my cool mother-in-law for this. She found it at a Thrift Store in excellent condition, and being my mother-in-law, knew it was a steal and snatched it up! And as I have a copy, I bequeath it to you.

NO. 2! She LOVES Alias.

But she's getting Koigu. Shell James has won herself some socky goodness. Yay!

NO. 3! ANOTHER cool Allison!

How many excellent knit bloggers named Allison can there be? We know not. But this one done won herself some Svale. I see a scarf in her future.*

And one for me.

And LOOKY LOOKY LOOKY! What I got today:

WHOA! I am Happy.

The ever-fabulous Cara coordinated having these t-shirts made, so GO GET ONE for yourself! It's for charity. Maybe for all you non-swatchers we should make one that says "Gauge schmauge." Discuss.

*I also ask this eight ball questions. So, ya know, grain of salt and all.

Comments

Now that's what I get for going away for an extra long weekend. Dabnabbit! Missed out on the HEK contest, and everything.

But I get to be the first to comment on this entry, and that makes me happy!

Wahoo! Thanks, Jenny! And that shirt rocks!

That shirt looks so cute on you! I think I need one after I totally messed up on my gauge for my bolero...

I got mine too! Let's wear them at the same time and be twinsies. Hee. Me likey the HighEnergyHappyFace in the picture of the shirt.

and yay for HE contests!

Neither the BF nor I could come up with the answer all weekend! Grrrr! He suggested Cornell, but then I pointed out that the sports teams should be fairly good. Anyway, thanks for hosting the fun contest!

love it! I dig that shirt! Too cute! Knitterly private jokes rule.

Hmm. I knew I was too Northeast centric to win that contest! Congrats to the winners! I like that shirt a lot - I may have to get me one.

So, did you ask the 8-Ball the same question I did?

The ever important, will we beat Texas?

OMG...I won something??? No way. AWESOME. I'd like to thank the academy...oh, wait. THANK YOU JENNY! I am super excited about the book, I have been wanting it FOREVER. Thankyouthankyouthankyou.

I'm so down for a "gauge schmauge" shirt.

That is the funniest picture of you! And how in the hell did you get an umlaut (sp?) to type up in the word 'uber'. Me thinks that you are the uber-computer-geek.

cute shirt! I would probably need both "got gauge" and "gauge schmauge" shirts, and have to switch them out depending on the day/project. Hmm...

I LOVE THE SHIRT!!!!! It looks AWESOME! (Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!)

I am so completely bummed that I did not see this post until after the contest! I too am an alum of OU and in fact still live in Norman! Woo-Hoo! Boomer Sooner! Go Big Red!!

Can't wait to see your 'T'.

OH, and Jennifer? We will so beat Tex-ass!!

Jenny, the t-shirt is way cool...love it!

Don't mind me, I'm just coming in here repeatedly to see if Jenny's updated. Hello? Jenny? [Echo, echo, echo...]

Hee!

Love, love, love the tee!!! Sooo cute! Damn...now I have to get one for myself.

I like ppl who dislike the University of Texas so rock on with yourselves :-)

And to Jenny... sorry I pick finicky patterns
