Badness

Katrina.

What a mess that damn storm left behind. I feel so bad for everyone there and hope relief can come soon. My thoughts are with all of those affected in one way or another. Admittedly, I'm so glad my parents moved from LA to NC just about one month ago. Lucky.

Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things...

I finished the French Market bag for my friend, Ivey:

Here's a picture of it blocking with a big spaghetti pot:

This is the closest to cooking I ever get, people.

I ran out of pink yarn, so I used some extra orange I had lying around, some Lambs Pride Superwash.

[Pause for Effect.]

That's right. Superwash wool does NOT felt. Oh no, it doesn't. By design. Not so good a choice with the Naturespun that felted beautifully. Oh well. Ivey said she likes it anyway.

Blogs.

Kids, I'm woefully behind on replying and reading blogs, so please no one be offended if you haven't heard personally from me in a bit. Will catch up next week when I have a few days off, I promise!

Those pots are being put to good use, I see!

And here I thought that you had left the pocket unfelted for texture purposes. Come on! It adds originality :-)

It looks great even if the orange doesn't felt. It's glowing!

Great bag, Jenny~ the colors are so vibrant and cute. Glad your parents moved too... very good timing.

The colors....genius. I love it, even with the non-felting area. Super cute.

It turned out great!! The colors are marvelous. And amen on the cooking, sista.

Hey - comment/read when you have time, there's no pressure. ;)

That bag looks great. I gots to make me one of them. The orange LOOKS felted even if it isn't.

Came out great!

That's the best use of a spaghetti pot that I've heard of yet. Unless someone were to use one to hit George Bush on the head.

Hey that bag looks great for superwash!

I have been dying for some late-night, high energy posts to get me through these long, boring afternoons at work. What have you been working on? Diehard readers are aching to know. Hope all is well!
