Pet Intensive.

Look Out, or, Too Many Dog Pictures.

DISCLAIMER: This entry is pet intensive. For those who don't like it, you have been warned.

Howdy. And welcome to High Energy falls down and goes boom. I wrecked on my bike Friday night, and here are just two (of many) bruises to prove it:

Don't worry, kids, I'm fine.

This happens, and one of my favorite schmoo's car is broken into and she is robbed. What the hell is going on around here???

Super. Sadie.

Last week I had a crappy day at work (note, of course, that all 'crappy' things are definitely nothing compared to recent hurricane devastation) and so, naturally, I put my dog in a costume:

Strange how I felt markedly better, almost immediately.

Then, this week, I finally made her a new dog bed. A BIG bed (she's a big dog) and it took FOREVER. I forgot how much I hate sewing (no offense to the great sewers out there). Sewing physically exhausts me, especially when it's a 50" by 26" bed with a bolster.

Oh yeah, and needed THIS MUCH STUFFING. Lord.

Finally, I finished the the cushions that go inside, and was so tired. I said to the hubby, she's not going to like it as much as her old bed. I've done all this work for nothing. Stupid dog me.

But then, I called her in to see it, and this is what happened.

Note the dog-snot on the cushion already. Doggie heaven.

And here she is on the completed item. Good dog. And no more sewing for HEJ.

NEXT TIME: So much knitting done that I haven't even shown you people. I repeat, what the hell is going on around here??????? ;-)

OK, click for one more doggie picture. SO. CUTE.

You're so good to your dog. Lucky Sadie! I wish I had that much sewing talent; I'd love to make a bed for my wacky bichon Lucy.

NICE bed! Lucky Dog.

And yes. I'm planning on a trip to Rhinebeck. Are you?

awwww! now that's puppy love ;)

Oh S! She is very silly and cute! The bed looks fabu and the back on it is awesome!
Miss ya!

What a beautiful bed for a beautiful girl! You sure did a good job not to care much for sewing. I made a bed for my little dachshund. Now, whenever I take the cover off and wash it, I sit in the floor to put new stuffing in and he won't get off he loves it so much. So I have to restuff the bed and keep pushing him over. It is a sight to behold. They are forever grateful and just makes me want to do more for him. And HE NEVER TALKS BACK, OR STAYS OUT AFTER CURFEW!

That is one happy puppy! I think all that sewing was worthwhile!

wow! that is the best dog bed! it's so cute and looks comfy!

lucky pup.

I LOVE that Sadie will let you put a Superman costume on her and then pose for a picture. That would make me cheer up, too! And how cool are you for making that awesome bolstered doggie bed?? It turned out so well! Lucky Sadie. :)

Sadie is so photogenic. She looks so sloppyhappyhappy in her bed, and of course in her Superman costume. Clearly, that picture will be a standby for cheering up people now. What, you feel sad? Here, look at this ADORABLE SUPERDOG.

Lord, that is a LOT of stuffing! I'm impressed. But she looks so happy, it was definitely worth it. (And you owe her something for the costume session)
Good doggie mommy!

Man! I want one of those for myself! It looks very comfy! Great job!

Holy crap, that is adorable. I have to hide these pictures from my doggie girls--they will want me to make them this throne... erm bed. I lack those mad skilz. Love the fabric you chose for it too ;) what a cutie she is--she definitely looks happy!

Hope those bruises are healing--that looks painful.

Wow, for somebody who doesn't like sewing, you sure are talented. Beautiful bed! Beautiful doggie. Sooo cute.

Only a true dog lover would lay in slobber just to get that picture perfect shot :-)

Dog bed. So. Cute.
We need to get Sadie a phone booth so that she can change into her super-Sadie uniform!

And how did you fall off your bike? You be careful!

Sorry to hear you fell off your bike! I know that can be painful, and of course slightly embarassing.

The doggie bed looks professional! Cute pooch, too.

OHHHHHHHHHHH sweet Sadie!!!!!!! I would love to have beds for my NUMMAS, however, one is 125lb and one is 87lb. I would have to move out the people furniture!!!!!!!!!!!!! They have taken over some of that anyway!!!!!!!!!!
Great job on the bed. Sorry about the bike crash and also sorry to hear about Carrie. We have that alot here too, I told her they should have armed guards at the gyms.

Awwww! What a good mommy you are. I'm glad Sadie likes her new bed.

You get the award for best dog mommy! I love the pic of her in the costume, thats too funny.

Be careful on your bike, no more spills for you!

Laughed my ASS off (I wish!) about your Superdog! How cute and funny.

The bed looks great. And huge. You must be a saint :)

Sorry about your boo-boo! Hope it's feeling better. Love the superdog outfit!

I've decided that when I die I want to come back as a dog of yours.

That last photo just says, "thanks, Mom - now, how 'bout a cookie?" So sweet!

Sadie is a super-schmoo. Cutie Mcgee.

I like the bed, too!

You are such a good(and crafty!) doggy-mommy!!! That bed ROCKS! I wish I could sew...

What a cute doggie! Awesome bolster bed!
